    Default expensive couple of weeks

A few weeks ago i bought a Dom...awesome machine as everyone knows. I then thought. I do need a new saw as the colour on my old machine was starting to fade.
As i left the shop with the saw and sustainer and extra track i discovered i also had a router. The more sustainers you buy the better they tend to stack don't they.

    You poor devil,
Seek medical care immediately or you'll be up to your eyeballs in green and black devices. This is...wait I'm up to my eyeballs in green and black devices, maybe I need help!

You poor bugger. Being a Festool junkie is terminal. My wife can't take much more if it. I'm planning on letting the shock of Wolfy the Kapex pass before she learns of the power a Domi can have over a bloke.

At the moment my biggest issue is hiding them from fellow neighbours. Once you own power tools is seems a given right they can borrow what ever you own. And when you say no...or bring it over and i'll do it for you there is stunned look..

    Not on Ya own Mate!
To add to the Domino,ETS 150/3 EQ sander,CT Midi dust extraction,C12 Drill, the Kapex is also looking to get a run after checking it out at the Perth WW show.
Missus said get what you need now before ya pull the plug at work but I had to compromise and get rid o' some o' the older gear.
Gonna cheack out the kapex @ the Melbourne WW show ...they may even have some available!!

I gotta admit this Festool stuff ...pricey but helluva good gear ...left nothing to chance in the engineering and design to cater across all needs.

    Cheers

My C12 drill is awesome (trendy word I heard on TV). Be aware that the Centronic chuck only accepts Festool drive bits which is a bit of a bummer. I did not bother with the full kit containing the three chucks as I could not justify it. Guess what? My next job is to install 26 drawers on full extension slides and the right angle chuck just might have come in handy. The drill itself has more than enough power to drive drill bits to 12mm and what I like is as soon as the clutch engages drive stops, you do not have to release the trigger switch. I hated the thought of buying another cordless drill as I detest the larger voltages and the extra weight, this thing it light and powerful.

G'day Alan, no complaints with this drill, batteries last forever ,drill meets the needs and with the various chucks gives an attitude that that other battery drills don't.

Dependant on the $$ you want to lay out will dictate the battery application.

I went for the 3.0 Ah NiMh which has so far lived up to usual Festool standard.

    Cheers

    Default Silly question!

    Lignum,

Has he used Festool? Of course not! Here is the Festool mathematical progression:

Use Festool -> Justify Festool -> Buy Festool -> Justify more Festool -> Buy more Festool -> etc.

    Clear now?!?

    Dan.

    Dan.
Dan I'm at step 2 now. Haven't used Festool but the prosecution and the defence are fighting it out inside my head at the moment.

    My latest reasoning is:
    * I need the tool.
    * I'm really only agonising over the price difference between the cheaper tool and the great tool, not the entire price.
    * I can't see a need to but any more tools in the near future.
    * If this is the only tool I'm going to get for 6 to 12 months then a few hundred bucks won't kill me.

Hmmm, after writing all that down things are a lot clearer. I'm now at step 3. Thanks for your help. Now I just have to stay away from step 4 and 5.
