Default Festool OF 1400 and a guide bushing adapter

    Hi all,

I use my OF 1400 for handheld router use and recently purchased the Rockler Sign maker's Template kits and went to use it yesterday only to discover the guide bush doesn't fit the router.

After some research online I've found that the guide bushing adapter (part no. 493566), was once upon a time a standard accessory,
however, it now appears unavailable from Festool Australia, but is available in the US and UK at least.

Has anyone else had this issue? And any ideas where to purchase an adapter in Australia?
I cut it twice and it's still to short.

The other option is to get a universal base that will take the standard Porter Cable style bushes - https://mcjing.com.au/categorybrowse...ategoryid=1345

    Thanks guys for the help.

Aldav, to use that base, do I simply have to unscrew the current hardboard base and screw that one on in its' place?

Yes. If the holes aren't pre-drilled to suit your router you can use the existing base to mark the hole positions.
