Ha Ha good question...... or Eli might be single?? either way I could image him taking trips into his shed/garage/work shop at regular intervals of 30min when he's not on the tools- Just to say ,,, ah!

Not single, just a wife who trusts me as the Minister of my own Happiness.

They started out sort of like comfort food, to ease my hemispheric transition, you might say. Then it turned out there was quite a bit of work around, so I got on the tools. I work with them, I think they're worth every dollar for the performance AND the appearance. They make your project flow a bit easier all round. But I still blow them off and wipe off the dust with baby wipes when no one's looking. My wife totally thinks I'm a dweeb.

And could I put in a plug for the Fein Multimaster? I used it no less than 12 times today. Every time I use it I love it more.

Started design and shopfit on a bar for a friend of mine a week ago. Fun job. Can't wait to get the fridges in for cold microbrew on tap.

PS- I framed all the walls up with my buddy's GMC! chopsaw, because there were nails in used lumber and low security on site. Too lazy to carry the Kapex in until there's something worthwhile. (finish work)

TS55 with two FS1400/2 clamps and stops.
    2007/2008 Catalogue.

I'm absolutely amazed at the totally different level of calibre and precision of this saw compared to others, its a whole new ball game! I bought it for cutting up four 2400x1200x19 sheets of veneered ply for my Kombi interior renovation, 2mm kerf, quite, plunge cutting, no edge splintering,,, wonderful.

All Festool for me in future, next: CT22 or CT33

Eli, I envy you. Baby wipes on your tools, I can imagine a hell of a lot of readers of your post running out doing the same!

Its interesting that you mentioned " low security" on site. I 've had to quote a TDK 15.6 and a TS 55 today cos some b*****d stole a chippies pride and joy..

My chippie mate told me that when he and his mate went off for lunch, the guy working with him left it brand new Makita lithum iron kit right next to his Festool.

The bragger list is coming along... Eli seems to be the biggest bragger so far. And why wouldn't he?!?!

An interesting element would be for any Festool bragger to identify their oldest Festool/Festo tool. An opportunity for someone to brag about using Festool/Festo the longest.

I had the HL850E planer and an AXP65 pendulum saw that I sold because they weren't being used.
Purchased my first set of Festo tools backin 1988 from the Melb Trading post.
The tools that impress me the most are the TS55,the KAPEX and the mighty little C12
Does anyone else remember seeing ads on TV when Festo first launched there tools in OZ probably around 1984 or 1985?
