Festool, DIY workshop
Hi Forum users,
I just wanted to inform the forum of an upcoming event that you may interest some of you.
The Tool House in DandenongSouth are holding a FREE exclusive Festool DIY / Woodworking Enthusiast Event.
Registerto attend here. Come along on Saturday 21st Septemberfrom 9am – 11am, learn a few new tricks, share tips with fellowenthusiasts and enjoy complimentary morning tea.
I will be attending to answer any questions you have on the Festool system, and also running through some of our routing jigs and templates.
There will be plenty of hands on opportunities for users to get the feel of Festool Tools and accessories, and below you can see a couple of applications we will focus on the day.
What will be covered:
- Creating a 3-waymitre join with the DOMINO
- Sanding / finishingtips
- Dove tail joiningspecial tips
- Customising yourworkshop
- Answers to anyFestool questions you have!
Plus, bring along a photo orsample of a proud woodworking project you have completed to enter the SHOW& TELL Competition – the best project (as judged by the participants onthe day) will win a Festool Radio!

Had a good morning . learnt a what i was doing wrong with the surfix system
thanksSome people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

Well the surfix comes with instructions not reading them was first mistake .
But basically I was taking the surface down to a 800 finish then using the vries pads which would then heatup and form balls wrecking the surface. I learnt that I need to go only to 240 finish then onto the vries to get a mirror finish. this will save time and effort yeah
