Default Festool Kapex 120 - clicking sound

    Bummer:

    Please help.

    Festool Kapex 120.

It is 15 years old I think.
One of the first in Aus.
Got it for more than half price at the time.
So no it wasn't a steal.

Would prefer to fix this myself if possible.
Already spent a couple grand AU for upgrades to extraction and thicknesser.

Nothing caught between the blade and housing or guard.

Any info on how to repair myself would be greatly appreciated.

Other than the clicking noise is the saw running true?
Could be brushes or bearing issues.
My saw is an early one as well but no issues apart from Festool doing the rejigging of the electrical on recall back a couple of years ago.

Another suggestion is to also post a querry on Festool Owners Group FOG see if there may also be a better response to your issue.

    Thanks heaps.

Festool support wrote twice that it is normal.

I was sure it was not.

Went back out since it was normal.

Twice started up wound down with the same clicking noise.

Started third time and wound the speed controller all the way down then all the way back up.
    wound down without clicking noise.
Started again and not clicking noise.

Hope this will help anyone surprised with the same issue.
    Thanks,
