Default Do Festool MFT clamps fit in T-track?

    Hello,

Im starting to design an assembly table based on a Festool MFT table. My question is regarding those Festool clamps that pass through the round holes in the top and also go in those fancy slots along the edges of the table.

Found a link, these clamps: Festool 491594 Quick Clamp For Festool Mft | Festoolproducts.com

Do these fit in standard T-track?

    Thanks,
    Nathan.

Hi Nathan, I checked for you and it will NOT fit the standard T-Track - however if fits perfectly in the Veritas (Lee Valley) 5/16 T-Slot Track - see Veritas® T-Slot Tracks (5/16-18 Thread) - Lee Valley Tools
    Carba-Tec also sells this product.

    Hi,

I was in the shed all arvo and remembered your query. I thought to check it out.

Lesmeyer is correct. I checked with all my tools and it's decidedly "just off".

It does fit my bandsaw mitres (they are the little ones). It does NOT fit any Incra mitres. I checked with my other stuff, even the Kreg, but that's all standard mitre stuff. (Build It is good kit for sleds).

I have a ton of Festool and Incra gear and couldn't find a slot other than the MFT and rails it did fit.

They are quite good. A lot of clamping pressure. It's a shame they don't make a King Kong version. Sometimes it would be great to clamp down REALLY friggin hard.

...if I may direct you to a similar thread over at the FOG it will answer a few more queries.

PS...ahh I see you have already asked over there.
    Cheers

Nathan - whichever size you end up needing, McJings keep a very good selection of T-tracks. They are on the way to Carbatec anyway for you, and pricing is substantially cheaper.

Seems to me that Carbatec have quietly increased prices on quite a few items recently; on my last visit I came away with 3 items I expected to cost $70-80 in total, but it came to $100....

I tried to fit with standard Kreg T track and that did not fit. I would presume the Incra track is deeper to allow the fit.
