Festool vac + triton dust bucket?
I have these both and need to find an end sleeve/adapter so I can hook them up and of course to the most of the non-festool tools I have. Anyone tried this? What did you use? I think the festool hose is 27mm dia but the triton hose is larger. Any suggestions as I'd like to use the dust bucket to collect the majority of the dust and have only the finer dust for the festool midi's bag.
One in the bush is better than two in the hand

If you have a lathe you can turn up an adaptor sleeve - if you find the size difference is too great to use plumbing fittings, then go to Barnes Products
www.barnes.com.au , get some 2 part polyurethane resin
and cast up a cylinder of polyurethane resin, then drill & turn that into a suitable adapter - that is what I am going to do for mine.
Festo also sell a variety of adapters for the various hose sizes they use - 27, 31, 37 & 50mm IIRC, so you may be able to source some Festo parts, but you will need a good dealer who really cares - Ideal Tools is about the only online source of information about these parts - http://www.idealtools.com.au/index.htm
- even Festo don't appear to list them.

Hi Hotchips,
This reply may be too late for you - sorry.
I had the same issue and looked around for reducer attachments for a long time with no luck. Finally one afternoon I stumbled on an attachement that came with the Triton bucket (I think - or maybe the router) that solved the issue. See the photos.
The rubber attachment that comes with the 27mm Festool hose fits snugly inside the Triton attachment which attaches to the 32mm hoses and into the bucket intake. So for most work all the big dust goes into the bucket, but when I'm using the sander I just pull it out and plug it onto the sander. Easy.
I think you can get the Triton attachments from Carbatec.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Gibbo.
