Festool TS-75-EQ
IMG_1428.jpgFullSizeRender-2.jpgIMG_1425.jpg
Purchased a Festool Track Saw yesterday and used it for the first time today, talk about impressed. The quality and accuracy of the cuts are just great. I was cutting cabinet grade plywood with Maple veneer and there was no chip out at all in either the rip or cross cuts. I purchased the 118" & 32" tracks, and the 75" came with the saw. I can see that my 10" cabinet saw will never get used again for ripping or cross cutting large sheets of plywood.

I have the smaller saw and was also impressed the first time I used it. Also impressive is being able to work in a clean environment when used with a dust extractor as you are doing.
Wish I had the space and the funds for a 118" track (299cm). Useful to trim doors.

It's great for squaring up bent boards too. I match the two ends of the board so that any bend in the board is out past the rail, then cut. This gives a straight edge to reference the other edge of the board. then either repeat the process, or use your table saw to cut the second edge, using the first edge as the reference against the table saw fence. (but I'm guessing most do this anyway!)
Regards,
Rob
