    Default new kapex ks88

    Santa has delivered my chrissy present today, the new kapex, well I picked it up. Not allowed to use it till christmas day, dont know if I can wait. Looks very good and a good price as well $1450 from Beyond Tools in Malaga here in Perth. Course I had to open the box to get the warranty form out and managed to get it out of the box but still under dire threat not to use till chrissy, looks good under the tree but.

    justin,
    sorry it took me so long to get back to you, been a tad busy.
    The ks88 came with the same blade the the original saw comes with, 260mm 60 teeth which gives a nice fine cut. Am thinking I might upgrade it though to the 80 tooth? blade for an even better cross cut on soft woods, if its not too expensive.

    Hi Snapman. The KS120 was the first KAPEX released and is the full feature version. The KS88 is a recent release with a few less features, but still the same build quality and beautiful clean cut. Check out Festool literature for differences between the two models.

    I am in the market for a Kapex and was wondering if people who have the KS88 are really happy with it or wish they had spent the money for the extra features of the 120? The more I read about them the more trouble I have deciding which way to go.
