    Hi Graeme

The autoconnect works as with every other power tool. Simply plug the mains plug into the front of the CT26E and turn the switch to Auto. This on-off switch on the transformer is alongside the power cable. In the photo below, it is on the left side. You will see a slot in the systainer for the cord. The right side is the power cord for the sander, itself, and this is disconnected when not in use. To get to these controls, simply tilt back the lid of the systainer.

Below is a photo I posted a few years back when I commented on the Mirka hand sander. The controls for the autoconnect are on the right of the front. To the left is a plate covering the input for a power cord/plug from a power tool ...

These are the little hand sanders. No power other than hand power! As I mentioned in another thread, the dust created by hand sanders is greater than that created by a decent power sander-dust extraction unit. Hence these hand sanders are attached by hose to the vacuum cleaner ...

    Used with Abranet mesh ..

I have ordered the 20mm 4m long Mirka hose for convenience and ease in using them.

As you suggest, I will do ventilation holes, if necessary. A brief run of the sander did not show any heat, but only time will tell. Perhaps Elan can comment on his experience here?

    Regards from Perth

@fencefurniture. I'd really like to know more about your hose setup and how you deal with static (if any). I just cant come to buy AS 36mm hose from Festool. Your photos and setup look great. I was looking for Bosch hoses but couldnt find any. Any tips would be great. Cheers
