    Default Track Saw Tips

This popped up on my YT feed, I don't own a track saw but others might find it useful for the tips it shows.

He's got some nice jigs. Might have saved me buying a table saw if I'd seen that

Nah! Too much time wasted on setup. I'll take the table saw any day.

Before I had a good TS I used to borrow a Festool TS from a mate of mine and I quickly came to the conclusion that I would not buy one for a bet because of all the mucking around in getting good square cuts.

I use a Woodpeckers 600mm Try Square to align the track perpendicular to the leading or trailing edge. Very accurate indeed. Pretty quick too actually.

Two adjustable measuring bars will do the same thing and cost about $5 to make but no thanks. They have their place such as site work and workshops with limited space so my objections do not apply to everyone.
