TS EBQ 55 bargain
I wandered into a local loan shop yesterday and noticed a Festool circular saw.
It didn't look like it had done much work and had the systainer, cross cut blade, splitter and spanner. The guy started it up and it sounded fine.
No rail though.
At $300 it looked like a good way to upgrade my old circular saw.
I now have another green power tool.
Last night I downloaded the manuals and read some of the previous discussion. I guess I will need to go shopping for a couple of 1400mm rails and probably a new rip blade.Scally

Cool.
Yeah have picked up some interesting stuff myself from a local loan shop myself.
Nothing as good as that tho.www.lockwoodcanvas.com.au
I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

I am glad you all agree that is was a good pick up.
The guy at the shop had a trade background. He said that the fellow left it too long to reclaim and it would have cost him too much to get it back. They knew the retail price but said they couldn't charge more because the locals wouldn't spend that much on a circular saw.
Their Makitas and Hitachis were much closer to the retail prices.
It all seemed legit and I got a 2 month guarantee.
It didn't look like it belonged to a tradie. Maybe someone had a job to do at home and once it was finished they didn't have a use for it.
Good news for me, whatever the reason.
CheersScally
