Default Box split apart at the seam

I made a box in humid New York but then brought it out to dry Arizona. I noticed that the box split on a joint after a few days. Wondering if I should use more wood glue when I laminate the wood together? Any suggestions?

What was the joint? Do you have a picture?

I'd change the glue, all glues have a limited shelf life!

Use super glue to repair the split.

Default The difference between the two locations could

be as much as 20% RF. So as Ron asked: what kind of joint is it? Do you have a picture available?

I used Titebond II to glue up 4 pieces of cherry (from the same piece of wood). Maybe I didn't put enough on or the glue was old? How long is the shelf life of glue, because this bottle was only a few months old.

My understanding is that "glue shelf life" varies, probably wise to confer with the manufacturer.

Without more data we're all just speculating.

"Seam", "Joint", "Laminate" ... it is a bit hard to decide the cause of the failure without a better description (ideally a picture) of the box and the problem.
