Giddy Up
Here's a piece I'm working on at the moment. Should finish it over the weekend.

Didn't get it finished as i had hoped, but a bit more progress. Wasn't happy with a piece i did yesterday, so scrapped it and re-did it differently. Definitely on the home stretch (then have to do a frame for it).

Got a bit more done today, but my bandsaw blade decided to crap itself.
I imagine i'll improvise in order to finish but it's going to slow things down a bit. Luckily there's not many more pieces to go. Need to tweak a few too, and possibly redo a couple. I'll see how I go.Craig

Very satisfying watching something like this develop as you continue to work on it. I find it therapeutic in a sense. There's anywhere between 15mins to 1+hrs per piece plus planning. I don't use templates/plans, just find a picture or image I like and develop it from there. If you have the patience, I'd definitely recommend having a go.
Probably the biggest challenges I find are the fidlyness of handling/producing the small pieces with my big fingers as well as the fact that my eyes have trouble keeping focus with the fine detailing (think it's time to get them retested).
Make sure you post your efforts if you decide to dabble.Craig

All done. Cheated a bit and bought a frame. Overall, very happy with the end result. Couple of details didn't turn out as I had hoped, but no big deal. Also, some of the pieces didn't colour up as I had planned once it was all oiled. Again, no major drama.
