this forum is as dead as a doornail so ill do a wip on my latest project . this is the largest one ive tried measuring 3 foot by 4 foot it will probably take 6 to 12 months to finish .woods used on lizard are banksia gidgee and mana gum around the mouth .tree from bottom to top is blackwood ,mana gum ,liquid amber and silvertop burl for the leaves. ill do another posting when ive covered a bit more territory which will probably be in 3 months time. o the frill on the liz is waratah

Love seeing Australian themed work. Hope you will keep posting progress pictures.
Don't know if anyone is interested, but a friend of mine does searches on line for free stained glass patterns when she needs inspiration for intarsia!

making fair progress alltho the fore ground and water and hills look like pieces of wood ,hopefully once all the other bits and pieces are put together it will all fall into place.right hand tree is finished but im now realizing i should cut everthing out then sand as some bits will now be hard to put in
.hills are redgum . water camphor laurel compliments from ttit then blackwood .foreground silky oak and birdseye gum .left hand tree is black wattle ,liquid amber, mana gum ,hanging bark beefwood, goanna is oak and huon pine
