Hi All,
May I have a turn of the USB? I bought the 10"Douglas from the old bloke on Gum Tree Sydney today. Going to pick it up hopefully next weekend.
Cheers Ben

I would be keen to access the stick in whatever way is possible, either the USB itself or if someone can email me the file(s) (if not too big to be an attachment), I would be very grateful. Thank you.

The file sizes range from a 29kB picture to two 20MB books..... a total of around 115MB.
Not exactly suitable for e-mailing, I'm afraid.

Hi Joe. Thanks for for this information. Yes, definitely not e-mailable ! Hopefully the USB will eventually get around to me. BTW, I am another owner of a Cash horizontal mill (if I remember correctly you mentioned here some time ago that you had acquired one). Cheers,
Adriaan

Hi Adriaan,
yes, I have a Cash mill - acquired about 20 years ago as a basket case and made to work again. Now that I know more, it will be restored properly soon: maily scraping to make it run straight and true again. It is very worn on all slideways.
I'd love to see some photos of yours, because a lot of the original gear and fittings were/are missing from mine.
Cheers,
Joe

Hi,
Is there a order for the stick? Would I be able to get it after Welder? How does the next person on the list know where to send it (ie mailing address)? Should be picking up my shaper on Saturday (so I don't really need that soon).
Cheers Ben

Hi Phil,
Any chance you could post some photo footage or photos of your Douglas shaper? I've watched your utube one a dozen times already. I've just bought one the same.
Cheers Ben.

If I could add my name to the list that would be great.

Hi,
Any idea of the location of the stick? And who is up for it next? If I get it next I promise to post it to Ewan asap.
Ben.

I have a fair bit of info here on shapers and operations so I don't know if I could add to it, or if there are things on the stick I could add to my collection. So when the list gets down and the guys new to shapers get a copy I would be interested in having a look at it.
If someone asks after this post and is new to shapers and in need of it to get going, please just skip me and send it to them as I have know the basics etc.
The book I received with the Douglas recently
(Shaper operations, lessons in using a shaper by J>W> Barritt and reprinted by Lindsay publications)
Shows using a hinge to lift the tool on the return stroke doing T slots, anyone ever heard, seen or used this? I need to do a T slot to try it out.
Dave
PS
I have yet to scan it,
