Couple of slightly unusual engines to have a go at
Am looking out for engines to try after my next wobbler. Looks like a flamelicker might be interesting to try.
....... but today I found this page with a few slightly unusual ideas
Die Maschinen des Hans Leiter
The bourdon tube engine looks interesting - and maybe relatively easy to build - looks like it is driven by the flexing of the bourdon tube as the pressure changes (bourdon tube is what moves the needle inside many pressure gauges)
Twisty looks like it would be fun to see running, Frontal looks like a nice variation on the basic wobbler, but am not sure, might be more complicated than I think..
Gotta admit, I don't understand some of the other ones but some of you might find them interesting.
And while you are all here - anybody here ever built an elbow engine ? If yes how about a few words please - was it difficult to get all the bent rods exactly right ?
Bill
