Does anyone know where to get small crenellated S/S washers?
What is a crenelated washer, I hear you ask?
Sort of like a Belleville washer but with tighter waves. If indeed they are called crenelated washers?
I am chasing them in 4,5,&6 mm IDs as the spring washer for scissor repairs. The butchers before me, mutilated the screw slot and it cannot be separated for sharpening.
I am forced to remove the butchered one and replace it.
A 4mm stainless button head socket with a matching crenelated washer top and bottom will sort it out.
I have emailed Keables but do not expect a reply till monday
The pic below is just an example, I have not repaired these particular scissors.
