I'd give Capral Aluminium and call and you can specify exactly what you are after.

I buy off cuts from Capral Aluminium for $8 + gst and it's all round and plate off cuts suitable for machining.

Does anyone know where to buy aluminium sheet offcuts in Perth? I'm after some 1mm plate in about 30cmx35cm sizes.

Try Capral in Malaga. You won't get offcuts in 1mm sheet but a full sheet shouldn't be too bad. They will cut it up for you but they may charge a fee for that.
Try a scrap yard but it can be a bit hit and miss.Cheers,

I've posted this before and noticed it's still there at my local "useful stuff" merchant:
Aluminium solid round extruded bar off-cut, 300mm diameter, approx imately 340mm long, $260. (My guess is it is now negotiable/haggleable). Could be cut into all sosrts of shapes on a big enough bandsaw.
If anyone is interested let me know by PM and I'll secure it, post it, store it - whatever.
Cheers,
Joe

That's a 60kg+ piece of Al there - I don't think posting is going to work (and getting it through the slot in the letter box will be hell too).

i normally find that per kg price ranges between $7.50 and $11.00 depending on quantities purchased and grade required and wether its extruded or rolled product.a 3mm floorplate 1200x2400 is about $165 plus gst.cheers danny.
