Totally agree...The result of short term greed.

Default Pi## Poor Packaging, Cheap fix.

Certainly agree about the way some quite good tools are packed in a disintegrating shell of thin plastic that does not survive its first trip down a corrugated road. Took a new socket set and packed thin cardboard strips each side of the sockets and accessories, then closed the box, turned it upside down and carefully opened it again. Took a spray pack of foam gap filler and carefully laid small runs of it into the cavities, giving it time to expand and set before adding more. When filled, I levelled the foam with a sharp knife, turned the box over and removed the cardboard spacers to regain clearance round the tools. This has kept a good set useable for some years now, and have done the same to several more toolsets.
Still damned annoying, should not have to resort to this in the first place. Combustor.
