Not sure if this idea is of any use but is it possible to use some of the eltrak sliding door tracks and rollers as the runners. They are gutsy and readily available.
roller/carriages-

This is the type of drawer slide I have seen in the commercially available drawers. It is a section of rolled steel, formed to make a channel which sits on the roller bearings. If I can find out where to buy it it might solve my problem.
I have attached a screen dump of my sketchup drawing:
Big thank yous to everyone who has made suggestions!!

If you want the draw runners only, i sell them.
I only have one model in stock (most popular). Heavy duty runners, 700mm long full extension with over travel and 200lbs load rating.
And best of all my prices are the cheapest (i think) $65 per pair. Less if you order in bulk.
Anyone here interested, let me know

Thanks from me also for all the drawer stop suggestions. First I want to get my trailer done, then I'll be looking at some drawers for the Pajero as well as a new rear bumper with LED's. And then we'll look at building a camper trailer.
Any pics??? Dimensions??

I picked up some Hafele 800mm draw runners (160kg) for my latest 4WD storage system. I would have preferred 850mm but not at the price difference....50mm isn't worth $100.
Big Gumbo's offer is pretty good if you can get by with 700mm.
So far I have mounted the fridge slide and it is fantastic to be able to bring the fridge all of the way (plus some) out of the cabinet.
I dropped my ally in to get folded for the drawers yesterday.
Although this may not be the cheapest option it is relatively economical vide commercial systems and extremely low weight (estimate finished @ 55kg) and easy to access with the draws being able to be fully withdrawn to access the very back of the draw.Cheers

Are you saying the bearing run inside the channel or the channel is affixed to the sides and the bearings act as runner outside it?
I have seen under tray draws where they run inside some pressed gal sheet....they don't seem to run that nice. You just get the sheet folded to suit whatever bearing dimensions are.
The alternative would be to start looking at available products - check you steel or ally merchant for what is available - try www.scottmetals.com.au for pricing and description ideas.
Here is a couple of suggestions:
C Purlin 100x19x1.9 welded (blind fixed as rails to outside)
series of bearings 6200 (30x9) are a sealed alternator bearing and you can source cheap chinese ones for @ $1.50 each from wholesalers.
Run a string of the bearings along the top line. These will carry the weight of the draw and will run along the bottom of the purlin.
Space a few bearings 70mm above the centre line of the lower bearings, this provides and anti tipping feature.
Then on the floor of the trailer position some bearings spaced to the width of the drawer to provide lateral location.
Your problem will always be that you cannot overextend this type of drawer system. A certain amount has to stay within the line of the bearings. Also with the lnegth and weights you are talking about you will also have issues with the bending moment which means all your steel will need to be upgraded. Since you can't run the inboard rail all the way to the rear due to the stove you will never get full extension.
Can I suggest relocating the stove unit to a similar system would ease a lot of your issues? Slide the stove unit in and out on the opposite side and you could make things much easier.Cheers

Runner Pics and plans
Great to see some interest in my runners and some confirmation that i've got a good price
Heres some pics and the dimensions.
That circle is the quick release trigger. I had to pay $1 extra per runner to get that on. Makes installing WAY easier.

I love these woodwork forums because there are so many good ideas out there.
I think I may just bit the bullet and buy the commercial drawers.
I can get this one 1700 long for $550.
I'd rather spend less but I also want to know it will keep working.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.Cheers,
Steck
