Ok, So I'm hoping I can get some help/advice on which drill press to buy..

I was looking at these 2 presses;

Bayer BDVS550
Hafco BD-360

But it looks like i'll have to go for 1 of these 2 as I just can't afford the pricier models atm;

Bayer BD400
Hafco BD-325 (w/ Clamp)

I am limited in space so a pedestal version is out of the question.

I'll be using it at home for basic DIY projects, both wood and metal (brass, aluminium etc) and of course if it's able to dabble with harder steels then i'd be happy, but I'm not expecting much for my budget.

I am planning on getting a milling machine and lathe in the future as I'd love to start getting more into metalwork and machining my own parts etc. but that's a topic for another day, I just can't afford it right now and I do need some sort of drilling machine asap.

I'd be happy to consider any different models, I suppose at this price point they're all pretty much the same and not all that great.

There's quite a bit of negative comments towards Hare&Forbes (Hafco) which is putting me off, but they have been around a while, the specs seem better. But their closest store is over a hour drive away, the Sydney Tools store is basically 10 min away.

I'd appreciated any and all info,
Thanks
