Hi all.

On and off im slowly putting together my Pacific FTV-2 milling machine. Parts are still readily available from Lagun (US name of same mill) but for some reason the prices are much higher than the equivalent price and part of a Bridgeport machine.

One such part i have previously repaired to some degree of success is a part called the Clutch Handle Support. It had one tab broken off which i fashioned a repair on however, in a lapse of concentration on removing said part, i snapped off the remaining tab. This has now been the catalyst for a complete replacement of this part. I am reasonably confident i can measure and machine a new part but it will be very time consuming. A new replacement part would be hundreds of $ and so out of the question in terms of justification.

However, the equivalent part for a Bridgeport is $US33. Question is, are they interchangeable parts?

Would anyone with a bridgeport be interested in me sending the part to them and do a comparison. Not expecting anyone to take their mill apart but it should be pretty easy to establish if they are dimensionally similar and worth a purchase.

Naturally i will pay postage each way.

Cheers.

Simon
