    Default Help required with small milling job

    Hello,
    I am making up a 3 point steady for my wood lathe using a 50 x 50 x 8 ring which I had rolled for another project many years ago and which did not go ahead. It is 510 mm int diam - probably a bit of an overkill, but it is what I had.

    I have completed the drilling, tapping, and welding. All that is left is to mill the slots in the 3 arms which will be 50 x 8 MS flat. I need a 9mm wide slot down the centre of each arm approx. 300mm in length. The slot will be 25mm in from one end and approx. 50mm at the other end of the arm. Can't be sure of the exact length / layout until I get the wheels next week.

    Is there anyone in the vicinity of Mt Waverley 3149 who has access to a milling machine and who would be prepared to help me out?
