Parting off with small lathe
I have a project which involves parting a piece of 60 mm stainless steel, my metal lathe is a small item AL 50g ( 9x20 )I did this several years ago and used a hacksaw NEVER AGAIN, I am going the parting off method this time. several people have said I would not be able to do this on such a small lathe.Well me being me I am going to do it anyway, I know to have it on on dead center, plus parallel to the work and to go slow anything else I should be aware of.
