    Default mystery tool

    hi guys.
    any one know this tool ? i first thought it was a live center with removeable tip but i was wrong . instead of the center move , this one the center is not moving but the body move .
    it is MT3 with MT3 insert ,

    Floating reamer chuck maybe? Does the MT3 socket float in the body?

    no , the body is stay still . only the outter body move which is why i don't understand what it used for . it can be a reamer chuck like Stuart point out. and the outter body just for hand to hold on to ?

    If both tapers are MT3, how do you eject what ever it is that goes in the female taper?

    Does the outer collar slide forwards or back or rotate to a position where the socket can be taken out?

    this I haven't look carefully yet . i need to check this . i think it made sense if it does.

    Ok.
    I checked it and yes the collar do spring back to eject the tool . it marked Qick change drill chuck on the collar and is made in england by ARCHER .

    Hi Peter, checked out Google and on fleabay was this, available in Australia $450.00 Looks like a larger version of the quick change set up for small drills.
