QUOTE]For all we know there could be a parallel forum where the wives get together and compare notes on what we drag home....[/QUOTE]

If that's the case, well I'm stuffted.

Got a few people, including the odd tradie who are happy to swap favours. Most folk are good and live up to their end of the bargain, or at least pay if they cant make good in other ways. The odd ones that dont, get told they arent welcome back.

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.

From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

Yes amongst my "clutter" is the tools and at least some of the materials required to do the task

Having a workshop a few miles away from town definitely has its advantages wrt to "nutters". usually people need a good reason to make the journey.

Knowledgeable folks who can teach me something are well worth the time spent speaking to them. the 2 forum members who have popped in thus far are welcome any time.

I didn’t have oxy at the time only a stick, so told him as I didn’t have oxy I couldn’t help him. I pointed him in the direction of a business that could and advised him it would probably cost a couple of bucks. In a huff, he collected his lamp and left, his parting remark was ‘a good welder could fix it’. I think people assume if you don’t charge it’s because your not good enough to..

I don't mind a VB on tap every now and then...actually I use to think xxxx was a pretty bad beer until I had it on tap...

Btw, VB's are called vomit bombs up this way! (A little unfair me thinks!)
