Has anyone made their own magnabend
I have just been reading through the info on making your own magnabend.
Has anyone made one or priced the components? eg: steel and copper wire etc.
I used one a few years ago and would love to have a small unit for odd jobs. Sounds like a very 'doable' project, given the detail the inventor has so kindly supplied. Great work on his behalf.

Yes the project looks easy enough with those instructions...
One problem may be getting the 1045 steel to make the magnet... square/rectangular steel in this grade seems hard to find.. You could always machine down round to suit..

I might make some quick inquiries at the local special steel supplier
