    Default Oxy cutting table

I'm building a small table for oxy cutting. I want to use flat bar on edge to make a sort of grille. Can I get away with 25x3mm flat or with it just slice through the first time it's used? Other tables I've seen use 5 or 6mm flat.

    Any opinions much appreciated,
    Leon.

What thickness material are you going to be cutting? By hand or machine?
I'd say 25x3mm will be fine unless you are cutting 50mm plate.

Only hand cutting, mostly thin plate. It would be pretty uncommon for me to cut anything thicker than about 10mm. Anything thicker would only be heavy bar and the like, which would be short cuts. That makes it easy to dodge the bars of the grille anyway. I'll post some photos when this thing is done.
