Default Any U,K members here prepared to on-post some thing.

Long story cut short. I have this old Lansing Bagnel ride on fork truck. Its nearly as old as me. It has this English made solenoid that pulls in the power the hydraulic lift motor. It an Albright brand, made in the U.K You can still buy that exact solenoid today, and parts are available.

    http://www.albrightinternational.com...2A,70A,117.pdf

I need details 3 and 7. Basically two 5/16" x 1 1/4" long bolts and a contact plate about 1 1/2" in diameter. It should be a parcel about the size of a cigerette pack.
The parts are a miserable £8.80, but they want 70 quid to "carraige" them vis UPS. They point blank refuse to use Royal mail.

The thought of buying <9 quids worth of stuff and paying 70 quid for freight offends me.

They will dispatch to with in the U.K for £10. I can buy the parts and the U.K postage. So no out of pocket there. I can get them to you, at nil cost to you.

Next time you happen to be going to the post office, if you could send it on. I'm in no hurry, if it took a week or so. You would have to have paypal, so I can sort you out. Given we are saving £70 less real postage, it's worth a 6 pack or better to me.

You wouldn't be out of pocket at any stage. Possible down side is that I would need a real name and address for U.K delivery. Up side is 4/5th's of the usualls here know exactly were to find me.

    P.M if you can help.

    Regards Phil.

    Hi Phil,

Looks like others have beaten me to it and you have got it sorted.

Probably the best way, since the post office here has been privatised costs have gone up terrifically. For instance, just for a letter, if it won't pass through the slot which is only 3/8" by 8" it has to go parcel rates. Which is probably why most firms have and use contract carriers even for letters, its more cost effective.
    Best Regards:
