    Default Repairing drummers cymbals

Hi all. I 've got a few drummers cymbals. They crack . Ouch! They are damn expensive.
Not using tin snips GULP!, Any ideas on how to cut out sections starting the cut from the rounded edge, going in about 5o mm in length na dabout a fingers width then turning around to come back.
    Grinder is too messy.
Rmbr cymbals are not FLAT ! Router table with a metal bit and dripping water?

I can email pics of cracks to you if you have fail safe ideas.

HOW to cut the cracks out please.

    I need a great finish.
Precise intruments they are. My wallet hurts when they crack. Ouch! Up to $45o each! Top of the range.
    Help please.

    Thanks all.

    Tony.
Don't pass them by! Be daring and caring!

Dampen their misery....sit with them and talk a little.

Buy them something to eat and a tram fare to a local mission.
I'm so lucky that I've somewhere to live and have family support.

I have seen a similiar post elsewhere and from what I remember the repair is not possible to do without substaintially changing the tone of the discs which are spun.

From what I remember of the post it had something to do with the residual tension applied to the disc by the metal spinning process.

It was years back and details are a bit fuzzy. But since then the following drum site says

My brother is a drummer and has performed this surgery on many of his symbals.
I have to go over to his place in the next day or so. I would be glad to ask his advice on this subject for you
    and report back.
