Nice shed you've got RC, what size is it?? The grinder almost looks lost in there.

Does it take that 44 to fill it up - assuming everything near the pallet came up too?

That is a 40ft X 80ft shed, with a 65ft X 8m lean to on the side.. While it look slike there is plenty of room, there is actually not a lot given I need to keep room for fixing vehicles and stuff...

I think it does take a 44 or so to fill it up... The oil in the 44 is out of the big grinder, I took it to save Phil the hassle of having to get rid of it in Sydney as the UK machine has to be dry of oil for shipping..

I will probably end up getting a new drum of oil for it when the time comes.... Probably something like Mobil DTE 25, an ISO46 hydraulic oil..

Nice sized shed, trouble is no matter how big it is, they're never big enough. Maybe you should sack the drivers of the vehicles, if you have to keep fixing them up.

Another big day in Sydney. The 16 footer is in the box, and the tarp is back on.

That base only went 10.5T. So we went up and over with one machine. That saved $770, not bringing a second hook in.

Very nice job, Phil. I'll bet you're glad that part is over. There wasn't a huge amount of room in there for 2 cranes so only needing one was a real bonus.

I'd tee'ed that up so I had a 2 -2 1/2 hour head start with the first crane. Had to get the arm off first, then skate the base out. In the course of lifting the base, we rocked it up end for end to get it off the anchor studs. First hit had 10.5T on one end. (We missed a few Loxans Pete).

Pete was gracious enough to drop in on Monday. I put him to work. Any way, once we wriggled it loose, and pulled all the floor plates out. He was only 7T per end. Bit of a counter lever thing, as your picking up 2 /3rd's of the machine. So we put it on my skates. Shuffed him out the door. Then picked it up with two of my 8T rag slings, and a set of 16mm chains. Off one hook only 10.5T

Stood the second crane down, and swung that in and over. It wouldn't wanted to be any heavier. It wouldn't jib out to gain reach at that load. We had to luft down to get it into the middle of the box. With this crane butted up against the box., So we were only 2 metre ish out, by lufting the boom up high.

The day would have been a perfect success, apart from this.

Never run the wheels of a 20T crane, with 6 -7 T 4m out over a storm water grate. I'm depressed with that for not seeing it coming. I was 16 metres away watching the skates. I should have known. Waiting to find out what that might cost me. Any one in Sydney want to loan me a cement mixer.

Certainly is. Sailing on the MSC Rochelle, some time this week end. Pick up of the box is Friday. Not sure if I have to camp until then. Some one has to be onsite, to let the truck in. The roller door has to be up, to get the swing lifter in.

Did you use just as many ratchet straps etc as on the previous container you sent? If you did, and you keep sending stuff like this away, maybe you should buy shares in the co. that makes them

Crikey, that grinder fitted that container like a glove.

Glad it all went well. The damaged drain would have to give you the s after such a perfect move. Looking at the patchwork of concrete, it looks like it's not the first time it may have happened.

I'd be interested to see a close up of where all the action happens, as in the grinder head/wheel. How does it grind different profiles? Do you have different grinding heads or profiles or do you dress the "wheel" specific to each job?

Edit: Or does it just grind flat surfaces and there is an aloowance to angle the head to grind separately each part of a profile?

Simon the wheel head rotates 360 degrees and you use cup wheels... You can also put the wheel on upside down to grind underneath.

On top of that they came with a side grinding attachment..
