I'm working on a Toyota gearbox at the moment and there are several external retaining rings of this style (the large one is 75mm) holding gears and bearings in place. The Toyota gearbox manual calls them snap rings rather than circlips and also refers to snap ring pliers to remove and replace said snap rings.

I'd like to find the proper pliers for these snap rings, even if its only to satisfy my curiosity as to what they look like, ATM I'm using standard circlip pliers, ordinary pliers, screw drivers but its slow and fiddlely and a right PITA.

My google foo must be weak, try as I might all I can find on the net is standard circlip pliers, i.e. the ones designed to work with the retaining rings with the holes in them. Anyone have any thoughts?
