Looking for some sort of spherical connection to act as the anchor point for trailing arms to be used on 1:8 scale railway locomotive axles.

The prototype had conventional axleboxes with bushed bearings held by mainframe horn cheeks, and this is the way my existing 2-axle locomotive was arranged with double reduction toothed rubber belt drive to the axles.
For a new 2-axle locomotive I want to use ball bearings in the axleboxes, trailing arms to more securely position the axles and double reduction chain drive. The axle boxes would not contact the horn cheeks.

The following link shows the type of thing I am considering.
Movement might be considered as +/- 5 degrees both radially and axially.
The loco tractive effort would be be perhaps 1000 N taken by 4 bushes, 2 links pointing forward and 2 backwards.

One aspect to be reviewed is skewing of the suspension, which may mean additional transverse links with perhaps spherical ball bearings in the axleboxes.

This item looks OK to me, any comments ?
Anyone else using these in a similar application ?
Is there a Sydney retail outlet with similar/equivalent that could be viewed ?
