Default Steelmaster lathe to Sieg equivalent

I have a Steelmaster lathe Model SM-0920, I was wondering what the equivalent is in the Sieg range?

Looks the same as the H&F AL50GA.

None of the Red and Black Sieg lathes have a quick change gearbox. it's all done with belts.
In terms of capacity, it's about the same as the C6. C6 has 250mm swing.

[Actually the C8 and C10 do have gear selection for feed/threading]

That SM-0920 is what is known colloquially as "the chinese 9x20 lathe". These have been around since the 90's and are manufactured by a number of different Chinese factories. It is a copy of the Austrian Emco Mayer Compact8 lathe, but with Headstock and Tailstock raised by 12mm, and the addition of a half Norton gearbox and worm automatic feed for the carriage. Many spare parts are still interchangeable between Emco. Sold all around the world in countless names and colors, for about 1/3 the price of the Emco. Qualitay and precision is much different though.

Now, there is no direct equivalent in the Sieg range. It is in between the C-4 (8" swing) and the C-6 (10" swing). The Sieg C-6 is also known in Australia as the AL-60 at Hare&Forbes. The C-6 is a larger heavier lathe of different construction, more expensive and with somewhat better fit/finish than the "chinese 9x20".

Thanks for your replies, I have been looking at what will fit my lathe but with all the different makes and models it was getting confusing.

    Default C10?

I didn't know Sieg made a C10. I just looked the C10 up, looks like a nice lathe, I was interested in the C8 a while back, but was bit pricy for a lathe that size.

Ausee Machines and Tools are distributors for the Sieg, but their prices seem a bit odd: the C10 from $2,585, seems rather cheap for a 38mm spindle bore with a QCGB and the C8 from $2068 is also very cheap, it's nearer $2798 elsewhere???

If I can get a C8 for for $2068, it might be trade up time me thinks.
