Where is the text?
I have noticed to my annoyance, that text to some posts run off the RH side of the screen.
The only way to read right across is to move the scroll bar at the bottom.
How can this be avoided?

Ken, perhaps you can give us an example so we can see what you are talking about first hand?

Maybe it is your screen resolution set too low.We dont know if you have a new or an older computer.
It it is reasonably new.Go to the windows startup screen and click the RH mouse button. Then click on the popup listing properties. Then raise the screen resolution
If you are computer literate. If not get someone to do it for you would be the best

This is generally not your fault, but the fault of some other poster who has uploaded a picture that will not fit in the frame on your screen. Any such picture anywhere on the page you are reading will cause this.
To confirm, next time it happens scroll down and see if there is not a largish picture in someone's post on that page.Cheers,
Bob

Which is why the Forums suggest that pictures be added as attachments which create a thumbnail that can be clicked on to enlarge, rather than by embedding them full size in text
BTW don't forget that once you have added your pictures as attachments, you can inset the thumnails wherever you want in your post, using the cursor and the insert (paperclip) button at the top of the toolbarsCheers

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

Well Honorary-it is reasonably true.Providing your graphics card is up to it (you can buy one good enough for about $60 at last look) An old monitor will not handle the resolution required for some of the programs these days Like anything else--The weakest part in a machine is the limit it will work at.

This is posting N0 5 on this thread I am only trying to help the guy.
To me you should be able to get your resolution up way higher than you have.I was running 1024 X 768 several years ago on my old CRT monitors.
Monitors are cheap. I just looked. The main one I use is a 22" BenQ and I can replace it for $168 This is the last post on this for me .Go to a good little computer shop, one where the guy you talk to is an actual computer tech, and see what he says
OH how are the Nascars .I love themBack To Car Building & All The Sawdust.

Actually everyone can, it's called the Australian Broadband Guarantee..
I live in the middle of no where and have now had broadband for a year and did not even need any government subsidy...
I am not trying to be an ########, just concerned why we always have to cater for the lowest denominator.. Dial up users in this country are in the minority and broadband is not that expensive and once you get it it opens up the internet for your viewing pleasure...

I wouldn't call it "pandering to the lowest denominator." If it were so, large pictures would be forbidden, and the "problem" would resolve itself.
In the good ol' days of Morse code communication, operators were trained to a minimum speed qualification, and network speeds were set by the least qualified operator in the net, to assure that all messages were received - extremely important in wartime, as well as in commerce.
The OP has been offered several solutions for shelling out precious $$$ for upgrades.
Australian Broadband Guarantee is valid only in Australia.
Please try to live with it.
