HI ALL, I just spotted this Microscope on Ebay, it needs Repairs apparently. I don't know anything about them, I just thought it might interest Someone. Here is the Link Toolmakers Microscope OMT | eBay .

So buying that will justify a workshop kitted out like the bloke in the YouTube clip. Remember the white dust coat that Dave J reckoned had just come back from the dry cleaners!

It's one where this bloke does a show and tell in his workshop. He has every machine imaginable, all in beautiful condition and plonked in the middle of this covetable collection is a effiing table saw. He says he uses the gear to repair the occasional microscope!

I dont have a link to the clip Matthew. Someone else might.

Found it Bob, you have good memory. It was Greg who originally posted it in one of your threads.

    Thanks Bob and Dave,
I have seen that one, I tend to watch anything that revolves around machining and fabrication..
Plus I just love getting a peek into other peoples workshops, It gives me ideas...Unfortunantly
those ideas tend to run me out of room on a regular basis, I'm on my 3rd shed extention now...

I do want one of those nifty lab coats. And a very faint East European accent, almost as though I was trying to hide it. And one of those three bladed knife switches on the wall, a la Frankenstein. Bwahaaa ha ha.

Seriously, I am out of machine lust at the moment...even my ebay watching page sits there empty, nothing here to see.

    Default Only a tidbit

    GQ,

How about a nice Waldmann fluoro lamp for the FP1. Singer's price is not a lot more than you'd pay locally for an ersatz fitting. I'd be tempted myself but I'm sure I'd be scared off by the shipping cost.

Those lamps have always appealed to me-more than the halogen type, and correct for our type of machines. I bought my wife a sewing machine light last year that's pretty good...linkages are tight, and the fluro light is bright and compact. But it has a plastic cover, and a table clamp base. $75.

The Waldmann lights are very nice...The LED units that I purchased last week are enroute-should be here in a few days. I'll have to rig up some kind of arm-maybe salvage the vintage worklight units that came with my machines.
