Here's some photos of the motor and switch on my little 3/8" model Waldown.
This is the original 0.3hp motor and the simple DPST (double pole, single throw) switch is direct mounted on the side.
0.3hp sounds pretty gutless but after changing the chuck to 1/2" this little bench model is my go to drill press for most jobs despite also having an 8SN.
A possible source of an authentic looking switch might be the electrical junk pile at your nearest tip shop (insert usual caveat about one flash and you're ash here).
Cheers,
Greg.

No spec plate or name on the motor, only the one on the side of the drill itself.
I'll get a close up photo of it tomorrow night.
Let us know what else you need photos of and I'll get them too.
Cheers,
Greg.
Edit 03/12/2014: Close up of the plate on the side of the drill press head.

One of the problems with most old small switch gear is that it does not not unlatch when the current is switched off and some are difficult to switch off in an emergency.
I'm in the process of retro fitting latching switches with a simple outer cap that can be pushed to turn off in an emergency to to all the old gear collected by the mens shed. Suitably rated swicthes can be picked up online for around $12. Some of the members have commented that they are not in keeping with the old school look of the gear but it would be irresponsible of me to fit anything else.
I appreciated that a mens shed is somewhat different to a home workshop. However, even so, latching switches have got me out of trouble several times at home. BTW, if a VFD is used they can act as a latching switch,
If you really wanted to keep the old switch gear, an option would be to fit a latching switch further back in the power cord or on a less exposed area of the machine. The problem with this is that any emergency switch needs to readily accessible/visible.
Even though it's not as fool proof, on a DP an option to a emergency/latching switch is an additional foot switch.

pic 2 base.
3, 4,5 drill,
6 close up table ..not a wrong hole dent or anything out of place.
7,8 9 drill feed mechanism...its a auto feed...didnt know this when I bid

the other one
now the other 3....that I have in my possesion

Another I picked up at auction

this is my working Waldown that I scored for zilch
20141202_165206.jpg
and last my little HiSpeed, sitting lonely in the corner that needs parts that have to be made..one day
why can I have so many...cos i can...until she finds out
I might rob one of the tables from the very two machines above for the waldown in pic two of the last 3 pics as they, the tables are wind up types
The table on my working waldown is reasonably good...a couple or 3 small touches, but excellent otherwise...but the wind up will be a bonus...posts are same on all 4 so easy to rob and fit to another ...paints are different but I can live with that.

What model is that first one? Is it missing it's yellow hat?
With a table that food it must never have been used
Auto feed is an interesting feature. Does it have a fixed or variable feed rate???
You have a few, but you must love them all equally like your children you can't just have a forvourite nd leave the others sitting ignored in the corner or between two benches lol.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

I'd love to have a wind up table height adjuster….They look retro fittable just need the ratchet version of the table clamp and the rack.

tried offering them pots and pans and cuttlery set sets as Xmas presents a couple years ago ...and they could not for figure out why...I had to explain my rationale being that if they had that stuff they could begin to set up home elsewhere
all hell broke loose when the penny dropped...lol
anyway I have no idea what the first model is...but must be a lot later than the others as it has a yellow top belt gaurd?
