VALE Neil Scobie
Neil May SCOBIE
Passed away 3 May 2016
Aged 63 years
It is with sadness that I announce the passing of Neil Scobie, one of Australia's foremost woodworkers and innovators in wood artistry.
I'm sure he will be greatly missed by the and woodworking community. His demonstrations were seen by many thousands of woodworkers around the world and he was a inspiration to all who saw him.
Pauline and I offer out heart felt sympathy to Liz.

One of my Yr 12 students is making Neil's Wall Unit. What a loss to our community. My sympathies to his family and all who knew him.

When I was starting to get into woodworking, I used to buy Australian Woodworker magazine, and at the time Neil was a regular contributor. I learned a lot from his articles and projects and methods.
Here's to an Aussie legend who managed to live the dream. The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
