10 Aussie Burls
a friend who has just arrived home from Germany where he competed in the world field archery championships (he came 5th - damn good effort), sent me an email the other night wanting 5 pens made from Australian woods so that he could send them to the people he shot with as pressies
i decided to make them out of burls, i stopped at 10, could of added a couple more but i had only ordered 10 Aussie Siera Exec kits which i thought would add a bit more of an Aussie touch, i am going to send him a pickie of the pens so hee can pick which ones he wants.
they all came up a treat, personally i wouldn't be able to select 5, hopefully he doesn't send me back an email telling me to choose for him, TOOOO HARD
they are from the top then left to right
Corgutta Burl
Red Morrell Burl
Coolabah Burl
Eucalypt Burl
Yellow Box Burl
Red Mallee Burl
Myrtle Burl (from the same burl as the ones TTIT just posted)
Karri Burl
Brown Mallee Burl
York Gum Burl
i am asking which ones you guys would select in case he asks me to choose, please help and thanks for looking

Too hard by far Mik all are worthy contenders ! Me I would say pick 5 from darkest to lightest ,just to get some variation ,some of the burls can look very similar , I am sure he will be most pleased with whatever selection he gets Cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

I was lucky enough to see them in the flesh yesterday, they were amazing, even though it was a hard pic, I chose all the darker woods..
Pity that they were spoken forI try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it
