2010 Slimline Challenge

i am very happy with the outcome, i think there was some great thought put into all the pens that have been entered

i was aiming for at least 10 entries but thats the way it goes, we only fell 2 short

there were a number of people who could not enter the challenge, 6 in total, i am one but the others shall remain nameless, i would guess that all 6 could have played if they had not choosen to step aside and get the ball rolling for everyone else

its hard to thank people without saying who they are, but thanks anyway, you all know who you are, i appreciated the help very much

i think that challenges should have a home in the forum, and i look forward to any others that may come along, i think that we should have a challenge every 3 months, in order to keep the brain alive and get people thinking outside the box

You are lucky there was nearly only 7 as I have been crook and I had one w/end out of 4 where I was well enough to stand long enough to do mine.
But besides that all the entries are great congrats to all the other entries
love the out of the box pens
I hope I win but if i don't I can still boast
I will be in the next one too had a ball thinking of what I was going to do & glueing up the blank

I am also surprised at the lack of showing of pens from our so called dedicated pen turners who repeatedly show their work but for some reason have failed to participate in this challenge. Congratulations to all who did take part and for the effort they put into their entries. Well done guys. I didn't take part in the challenge because I knew I would not have time this time due to visitors from overseas and working on another project but will certainly take part in the next one. Great work all round guys.
