Tortured grain. The timber is now on the red list.

Now that's a "class act" as a pen & a beautiful wood to show your skills Peter. Well done & VERY Nice.
(I have not seen the burl though have some of its beautiful figured with leopard-like figure)

Fantastic timber, Peter and a very impressive pen with your unusual treatment and turning. That's given me lot of food for thought as I tend to just do the normal (conservative) shapes. Finished with CA or something else? Turn it? - I can't even pronounce it!
Cheers, Gary

Plenty of eye candy there Peter !! Beautiful timber and skilful turning, a match made in heaven. You haven’t lost your touch mate.
Brad.
