Alligator jawbone pen in aluminite
When my dearly beloved was on deaths door five years ago Tom Barron from Texas got in touch with me and said he would like to make a pen blank from this material ,a specialty of his casting this He asked me her favourite colour ,bear in mind we were married in 1955. I always was aware it was a tone so in a devious way I asked her various colours she said her favourite was red. Tom made two blanks this second one I made to suit her hand.From the latest tests she is going strongly she met a Nurse present at her major op who said Wilms we regard you as our favourite success
story.

I haven't turned any bone/ivory so I'm guessing its either HELL on tools or you used carbide?
Beautifully turned pen as always, thanks for sharing as it clearly is a very sentimental piece
