That's definitely different, Peter, and to your (always) high standard! Is that what they call cross-cut, and mind telling us what the pen kit is?

Exceptionally nice work Peter, I love Hairy Oak and crosscut takes it to another level.
How do you go putting the finish on your faceted blanks, do you use a spray finish ?Brad.

Its a pain right angle cross cut those medullary rays make weakness tracks cutting it this way and the trees are mostly misshapen rarely round I have had.
Finish one or two coats of CA.
Pic shows lighting that cuts the shine it is a beaut finish in the hand.
I had go transparent in one pen made using a short piece on a Dental Handpiece, wild grain. This one was dark so I had to up the lighting sending it making it look flat IMHO.
