Amboyna Burl
A Jr Victor dressed up with a piece of Amboyna Burl. Sanded to 400 grit, then 20 coats of CA. Wet sanded through to 12000 MM and buffed out with Dialux. This pen also won 1st prize in the pen crafting section of the Bundaberg Show. The section was created last year due to the number of pens being crafted. Hope you like what you see. Comments welcome.

Yes Darryn
Like it like it like it. Why? Because Amboyna is Beautiful in every direction it flashes That Ruby Redness. A Timber for all seasons.
Bundaberg Show also have good taste and judgement congratulations mate.
Regards Peter. The embarrasment is mine cause I had a heart op last Friday and the number of stares at my groin that followed that point of entry, one artery was 99.8 per cent closed now reopened with a Stent just in Time.

Congratulations Darren.
You should be prod of the great pen that you have created. Amboyna is very attractive timber, especially the red tones featured in your pen.

John you are right didn't notice I hadn't screwed it down when I took the photo. Thanks Neil for your comment, you are one of 5 people that I truly admire and look up to as pen crafters. Your work is amazing, from timber to your castings, they are always a pleasure to view.
Cheers, Darren
