Amos - Pen Turner
A message for those who know Amos (Penturner).
Amos is very ill in palliative care in Brisbane as a result of cancer that he has fought for several years.
I will be visiting him Friday afternoon 17 February.
You can contact me on 0414759293 to get an update on his condition or if anyone would like to visit him or send flowers call me and I will give you details.
He is very weak so you will need to contact the hospital before visiting to check on his condition for visits.

As others have said above, please pass on my best wishes to him. He is sadly missed on these forums both for his knowledge and support of everyone. A very generous man.

Thanks for the update Greg. I called in on him on my trip to Darwin and he wasn't too well then. Please pass on my regards, his input to these forums over the years will certainly be missed.

Hi Neil
I don't suppose there is some sort of certificate that can be given to Amos as a result of all the assistance he has provided to Forum members. I am sure he would really appreciate it if there is such a thing.

A few years ago Amos came to my home and picked up a van full of Olive tree root balls/stumps and in return made me two custom pens, one olive wood the other using deer antler.
I talked to him at length on just about anything after we had filled his van and I found him to be a lovely and very humble fellow.
I was astounded at the quality of the pens that he sent me and they are shown to every visitor to my home.
Its not nice to read of his problems at this time.
ATB Amos.

Please pass on my best wishes - I still remember Amos and his son coming to my
home a few years ago and collecting pine cones. I still have the pine cone pen
he gave to me. One of nature's gentlemen.
