Art Deco
Well after having this one setup for over 12 months I finally have gotten round to turning it.
Funny this one didnt seem as hard on the tools as the 1st TruStone blank (Black & Gold) that I turned.
1 small issue with the assembly ...see if you can see it.
Cheers
Shawn

Looks good Shawn. That blank really matches the kit well.
All that I can pick up that could possibly be wrong, is the cap tube may be back the front, so the gold lines wont match up.Brad.

Shawn, I really like the blank and pen fittings, they match up nicely and you have an excellent pen, the "little" fault that I see is the "crack" at the finial end of the pen, although it may be just a design in the blank, without a real good close up it is difficult to tell from the photos. Amos
PS, I just blew it up in Photoshop and it does look like a crack, maybe just a bit extra reaming with a small rat tail file and also lubricating the fitting may be a better way to fit Trustone, I find TruStone is beautiful but does not take kindly to being dropped, or any extra pressure. So a loose fit and use a tiny bit of CA to make it stay in place is best. AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

You have picked it Amos. the bloody thing cracked during assembly.
I am very careful during assembly but every now and then...
Thanks for the tip. Hadn't really thought of using CA to hold it together whilst allowing a bit more clearance.
Cheers
Shawn
PS Luckily Dad loves it crack and all so it might just be his Chrissy Pressie.

Hi Brad,
The blank does line up, but the pics do not show that very well.
One thing I have recently learnt with the pens is that the bloody cap can go on in 3 or 4 different positions.
Worked this out the hard way after dismantling a pen to get everything to match nicely and not have it line up again. A few choice words were said that day.
Cheers
Shawn
