At the BigShed!!!
I manage to combine a wedding and a visit to BigShed and Johanna this weekend,. Fred showed me how to dry dishes!!!, he is an expert at it as you can see from the photo. Then I opened my eyes to a wonderful new lathe he has, would not fit in the boot so had to leave it there., Switched on the metal lathe and spent a great day being instructed on the finer points of metal lathe and their use--very useful for someone like myself.
Johanna looked after us with Lunch and tea and showed me the handcrafted Clock and Mirror she had made- she is loaded with tons of talent, the Clock decorations were hand hand carved by herself!!, on top of that there was some great cross stitching hanging up. once again done by herself. Fred being jealous at all this brought out the BULLETS-er bullet pens--not bad for a beginner!!, wonderful variety and expertly made.
What can I say, a beautiful BIG SHED- loaded with mouth watering goodies, all neatly placed and in handy reach when working on the lathe. So thanks Fred and Johanna, let's hope I can produce some great metal stuff after all that fellowship. Amos
PS because I decided to stay the night they purposely left the Stereo on Full Volume until 4 am, I slept soundly they didn't!! pps it was not them--some neighbours about a mile away!.
What a great getaway! AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

Amos
what were you doing
He was supposed to be turning up some bushes for me. Damn now I have to wait another 'ever how long' it might take
I dunno (is there an icon for kicking the beer can down the back lane?)
Oh ok
glad you had a good visit
the bushes are a 'whenever it might happen' order, so don't worryregards

Nice pen, Amos. Sounds like you all had a great time.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

I have been trying out what I learnt--oh boy! talk about a beginner!, on hands and knees trying to find a "GIB" a tiny solid metal cylinder 8.9mil long and 2.99 mil diameter! I took off what i didn't need to take off in my ignorance and three little Gibs went to market, one little Gib didn't make it! Exciting stories from the Learners' CornerAmos

I think in the interest of all mens welfare, the first photo needs to be deleted. It has taken 13 years of marriage to convince my wife that men are incapable of washing and drying dishes. Have to close this down as wife is just about to look over shoulder
