    Default Burl Euc JR Victor

This is a JR Victor Fountain (aka JR Retro) post-able version in Burl Eucalypt Sapwood.

Sanded to 400 grit. CA Finish - 20 thin coats. Sanded to 2,000 grit. Brasso, cornflour then automotive wax.

I think I finally have mastered my photography skills. I really like the black background. What does everyone think?

Thanks in advance for any comment or suggestions for improvements.

    Regards

    Timberbits.

    David, an extremely nice pen,

Photography is excellent. Trouble with the dead black and the reflective black it loses some quality when te file size is changed for posting on the forum (and no doubt elsewhere)

The photographs are extremely classy. I like the black effect, although it appears that some of the detail is lost around the edges. Still, it grabs your eyes and that is the whole point. Is that one of those shiny black acrylic stands in a light tent?

Very nice Indeed David, we do have some woods equal to anything anywhere, that is one of them . I suspect a wenge or black ebony may be a challenge on that background lol.
But overall it has an old worldish charm about it ,to match the pen . Cheers ~ John

    Another great pen.

It looks good on the black but for some reason I can't open the thumbnails to the larger size...

    Cheers

Sometimes I have the same problem ! slow to load or not at all, most times I click the black loading image and it comes up pretty much right away ! cheers ,hope that works for you. ~ John

    Nice pen and timber

When will you have them for sale?

I like the black background but as many have said you do lose some fine details but still nice effect

    More excellent work David

You could try using photobucket or another hosting package that way you don't loose your size and can post a better picture.

The problem with photos that are not directly on the forum htread is that those of us who access this through work and have a boss who has a lot of sites blocked can not access the photobucket and stuff.

Now, I wonder why a boss would do that?
