    Question CA finish

    Hi All
Some time ago I saw a thread about a rather nice pen that was made as a thank you to one of our fourmites. The pen was made from "pink ivory" and the thread discused finishing with CA to preserve the colour.
I have searched and the thread just eludes me
I have just glued up a fountain pen in "pink ivory" and with what the blank cost I would like to preserve the coulor as much as I can
    Any help is most welcome
    Thanks

There is a "sticky" near the top of the page with an excellent video on CA finishing. It revolutionized the way I finish pens. I'll bet it will work for you.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

I would be very curious to see how that techinque (which totally rocks) does on a bowl. Please post pics and your comments.

I've done it on desk holders for pens, and it looks really good, but it's a PITA to do. The added size and centrifugal force slings CA everywhere, and it's hard to sand odd shapes evenly without burning through the CA on sharp edges and curves.
    Wood. Such a wonderful substance.
